Institute of Banking Personnel Selection Probationary Officers or IBPS PO exam is conducted every year for recruitment to the post of Probationary Officer/Management Trainee (PO/MT) in 11 Public Sector Banks in India.
Role of IBPS PO officer : PO acts as Public relations officer at the branch. Handing of financial activities like account preparation, billing, investment, marketing, statements, account drafting, cheque clearance, cash flow, ATM cards, demand drafts, bank management etc.
The IBPS PO Prelims Exam consists of Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language whereas the Mains Exam comprises of Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness, English Language, Data Analysis & Interpretation, English Language (Letter Writing & Essay).
Candidates have a total of one hour to complete the IBPS PO preliminary test, which will be conducted online. There are three sections, English Language with 30 question, Numerical Ability with a set of 35 questions, and Reasoning Ability with another set of 35 questions.
Number of Attempts : There is no specified number of attempts for IBPS PO. The age limit has been defined as that of between 18 to 30 years of age. Candidates can give IBPS PO Exam as many times as they want to provided they satisfy all of the eligibility criteria
IBPS PO Training Process : Majority of the banks conducts 10-15 days long training process know as induction training which take place at the banks' own training Centres, zonal offices, or head offices for IBPS PO for the selected candidates
What is the minimum marks to get selected in IBPS PO?
IBPS PO interview cut off is released along with the provisional allotment result. The Interview is held for 100 marks. The minimum qualifying marks in the interview is 40 per cent for General category while 35 per cent for SC/ST/OBC/PWBD.
